How to play Zaroorat by Mustafa Zahid on guitar

These are the sounding chords. With a capo on fret 7 you play A, Am, F, Dm, C, E and more, the shapes the player above shows.

Zaroorat is a strong song to learn if you want a moody, expressive feel that still sits nicely under the fingers. At about 95 BPM, you can focus on clean changes and let the progression breathe, which makes it rewarding for an intermediate player.

Most of the chart uses open shapes like E, Em, C, G, D, and A, so the left hand stays fairly comfortable. The harder move to watch is B and D# if they appear later, since those barre shapes can slow you down. The opening E - Em - C - E change is the main one to lock in early.

Start by looping just the opening progression until the motion feels automatic. Then add the rest of the chord changes in small groups, keeping your timing steady. Once the shapes are smooth, play along with the full song and gradually bring it up to tempo.

Use the play-along above to follow each chord change in time with the music, or learn the shapes first with the chord diagrams below.
