How to play Safar by Arijit Singh on guitar

Safar is a great beginner song to learn because it moves at a calm pace and gives you a smooth, reflective feel right away. You can focus on clean changes and steady timing without feeling rushed, which makes it rewarding to play from the start.

All of the shapes are open, so you do not need to worry about barre chords here. The main thing to watch is the opening move from D to Am to F and back to D, since that shift can feel awkward until your fingers know the route.

Start by playing each chord slowly and making sure every note rings clearly. Then loop the opening progression in time, pausing on the change that feels least natural. Once that is comfortable, bring it up to the song tempo and keep the motion relaxed.

Use the play-along above to follow each chord change in time with the music, or learn the shapes first with the chord diagrams below.
